The Square D QO240GFI Qwik-Gard by Schneider Electric is a brand new 40 Amp, 2-pole, 120/240V GFCI circuit breaker for Square D QO load centers. It gives you Class A ground-fault protection against electric shock right at the panel, plus standard overload and short-circuit protection, for 240V circuits like hot tubs and spas.

Most Common Use
Hot tub and spa circuits in homes with a Square D QO panel. Always follow the hot tub manufacturer's breaker requirement. Requirements vary by local code.
Important: A 40A breaker must be used with 8 AWG copper wire or larger. Never install a 40A breaker on a circuit wired with 10, 12 or 14 AWG wire.
Compatibility: This breaker is designed for Square D QO load centers only. It does not fit Square D Homeline panels or panels from other brands. Check the label inside your panel door before ordering. If you're unsure, send us a photo of your panel label and we'll help you confirm the fit.
