The Square D HOM240GFI by Schneider Electric is a brand new 40 Amp, 2-pole, 120/240V GFCI circuit breaker for Square D Homeline load centers. It gives you Class A ground-fault protection against electric shock right at the panel, plus standard overload and short-circuit protection, for larger 240V loads like hot tubs and spas.
Shock Protection Right at the Panel
Larger hot tubs and spas often call for a 40A GFCI circuit. Putting the GFCI protection in the breaker protects the whole circuit with one device, with no separate GFCI device out in the yard.

Hot tub and spa circuits where the manufacturer calls for a 40A breaker, in homes with a Square D Homeline panel. Always follow the hot tub manufacturer's breaker requirement. Requirements vary by local code.
Important: A 40A breaker must be used with 8 AWG copper wire or larger. Check your wire type and local code.
Compatibility: This breaker is designed for Square D Homeline load centers only. It does not fit Square D QO panels or panels from other brands. Check the label inside your panel door before ordering. If you're unsure, send us a photo of your panel label and we'll help you confirm the fit.
