The Eaton BR230 is a brand new 30 Amp, 2-pole, 120/240V Type BR plug-on circuit breaker for Eaton BR load centers. It's the standard breaker for electric dryers and water heaters, with reliable thermal-magnetic protection against overloads and short circuits.
The Dryer and Water Heater Breaker
Most electric dryers and standard electric water heaters run on a 30A, 240V circuit. The BR230 snaps straight onto the panel bus, so replacing a worn breaker or adding a new circuit is quick and clean.

Important: A 30A breaker must be used with 10 AWG copper wire or larger. Never install a 30A breaker on a circuit wired with 12 or 14 AWG wire.
